Met Gala 2019: Athletes and sports personalities hit the red carpet

Tom Brady and wife Gisele Bündchen are staples at the annual Met Gala, but the New England Patriots quarterback wasn’t the only superstar athlete to get dressed to the nines for the evening. 

While none of the athletes were dressed up as literal chandeliers or entered on an ancient Egyptian bed carried by shirtless pharaohs, they still managed to pull off some show-stopping ensembles. 

All eyes were of course on Brady and Bündchen who donned complementing maroon and pink designer outfits. Brady was also smartly accessorized, sporting Swiss watch manufacturer IWC Schaffhausen’s Portugieser Perpetual Calendar Edition “150 Years” timepiece on his wrist. 

Super Bowl LIII MVP and Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman made an appearance alongside his teammate and was also seen hamming it up with Cleveland Browns receiver Odell Beckham Jr., who showed up in a black cap, bow tie and kilt

Patriots players grace the stage, red carpet at Grammy Awards

These Super Bowl champs can now add “award show presenter” to their already stacked résumés.

New England Patriots stars Devin McCourty and Julian Edelman were at the 2019 Grammy Awards on Sunday night, one week after their Super Bowl LIII win, to announce the winner of the “Best Pop/Group Performance” award. The two athletes presented the award to Lady Gaga, who won the honor alongside Bradley Cooper for their song “Shallow” from their film, “A Star Is Born.”

Cooper was unable to attend the event, but the stage was packed with star power even without him there.

No Patriots defender received a single MVP vote for Super Bowl LIII performance

The New England Patriots defense held the Los Angeles Rams to just three points en route to their Super Bowl LIII victory on Sunday night.

The stellar performance has earned high praise for Bill Belichick’s defense, as well as now-former linebackers coach and defensive play caller Brian Flores. The Rams became only the second team in history to score just three points in a title game.

But according to NFL.com, that wasn’t an impressive enough feat to earn even a single MVP vote for any defensive player on the Patriots.

Tom Brady and Julian Edelman are already at Disney World after Super Bowl LIII win

Mere hours after his MVP press conference, Super Bowl LIII superstar Julian Edelman is already on a well-deserved vacation. 

The New England Patriots wide receiver posted several clips and photos on Instagram early Monday afternoon showing himself and quarterback Tom Brady in Disney World the day after their championship victory over the Los Angeles Rams. 

The two athletes posted photos from the Toy Story Mania ride as well as the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge area of the park.

Tom Brady, Patriots players team up with Guy Fieri for a good cause — and plenty of food and football

The clouds over Boston couldn’t dampen the spirits of Tom Brady, Guy Fieri or any of the guests at the Cooking with Best Buddies Food and Wine Festival and accompanying football game at Harvard University.

Best Buddies International, a nonprofit organization benefiting those with intellectual and developmental disabilities, kicked off a weekend’s worth of festivities in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Friday evening.

Popular celebrity chef and TV personality Guy Fieri hosted the second annual Guy Cooking with Best Buddies event while New England Patriots quarterback and Super Bowl LI MVP Tom Brady held the Best Buddies Football Challenge flag football game at Harvard Stadium.

The game featured Brady quarterbacking for both teams alongside some of his famous friends, including Massachusetts Congressman Joe Kennedy and Patriots teammates Julian Edelman, Danny Amendola, James White and Dion Lewis.
