Arizona Cardinals rookie quarterback Kyler Murray is preparing for his first taste of NFL action as the preseason kicks off on Thursday night.
All eyes will be on the 2019 No. 1 overall draft pick, as well as new head coach Kliff Kingsbury, when the Cardinals take on the Los Angeles Chargers.
Murray addressed the media from training camp just ahead of his NFL preseason debut to discuss his excitement to “play actual football again” — but there was one question that had the young star cracking up.
The 2018 Heisman Trophy winner has declared for the NFL draft.
That shouldn’t be a surprising statement, but Kyler Murray isn’t your average prospect. The former Oklahoma quarterback is a two-sport superstar who was drafted ninth overall by the Oakland A’s in last year’s MLB draft, but chose instead to follow his football dreams. He officially declared for the 2019 NFL draft on Monday.
So which quarterback-needy team will swoop in to draft the phenom?
