Ravens rookie Marquise Brown wants to make his own mark outside of cousin Antonio’s shadow

There have been plenty of superstar relatives throughout the history of the NFL. The Manning brothers (plus dad Archie), Watt brothers and Bosa brothers are among the most recognizable families who have seen success in professional football. 

Now, Marquise Brown, the Baltimore Ravens rookie and cousin of Oakland Raiders wide receiver Antonio Brown, is hoping to cement his place in the history books as well. 

Brown, nicknamed “Hollywood,” was selected 25th overall by the Ravens in the 2019 NFL draft. The wide receiver, who many considered to be too short at 5-foot-10, instantly became emotional about his selection and revealed the advice that older cousin Antonio had given to him.

Marquise ‘Hollywood’ Brown gets choked up after being drafted: ‘It means so much’

Marquise Brown’s life changed the instant he was selected 25th overall in the first round of the 2019 NFL draft. 

The newest Baltimore Ravens wide receiver wasn’t about to let that moment pass him by. Brown, nicknamed “Hollywood,” was overcome with emotion while discussing his selection with NFL legend Deion Sanders. 

“I’m just happy to be here,” he said as tears filled his eyes. “It means so much.”

The former Oklahoma Sooner wasn’t entirely unprepared for the intensity and excitement of the evening. His cousin, Oakland Raiders wide receiver Antonio Brown, gave Hollywood a simple piece of advice before the draft: “Just enjoy this moment.”
