You don’t become the winningest quarterback in NFL history by eating pizza – or at least, not bad pizza.
Tom Brady’s bulked-up physique at New England Patriots training camp last week had some fans wondering if he had ditched his famous TB12 method. Now the star quarterback is admitting that he does, in fact, occasionally cheat on his diet.
“You should never restrict what you really want,” the 42-year-old told Men’s Health.
Brady has famously avoided popular foods like tomatoes and strawberries — healthy foods to mere mortals — in favor of avocado ice cream and veggies. So it comes as a bit of a shock to find out that the six-time Super Bowl champion and seemingly ageless wonder does partake in the pleasures of bacon, pizza and chocolate every now and then.
